[hr3]   MARK OF EXCELLENCE AWARD -- Congratulations to the Troy Turkey Trot marketing staff for beating stiff competition to win the American Marketing Association's (Capital Region Chapter) Mark of Excellence award on October 2, 2013 at the Glen Sanders Mansion in Scotia. The awards were handed out by Benita Zahn from WNYT NewsChannel 13. A TIME TO GIVE BACK — Troy Turkey Trot Event Director George Regan (left); Mark Quandt, executive director of the Latham-based Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York; Sharon Smith, executive director of the Troy Boys and Girls Club; Troy Mayor Lou Rosamilia; and, Mike Manupella, executive director of the Lansingburgh Boys & Girls Club, gathered Tuesday, Nov. 27th at Troy's City Hall. Charity representatives accepted a check for $12,177 from organizers of the 65th Troy Turkey Trot, which was held Thanksgiving morning. Twenty-two percent of the event's record-setting field of 8,290 donated to this year's designated non-profits.
