Swag/Packet Pick-Up Info
For those who have not picked up their packets from the 2020 Troy Turkey Trot, you can now pick them up in Troy at the Troy Farmers Market from 9a to 2p on these dates:
- Saturday, Jan 30
- Saturday, Feb 6
- Saturday, Feb 13
- Saturday, Feb 20
- Saturday, Feb 27
The location of the Troy Farmers Market is 865 2nd Avenue, Troy NY 12182, in the former Price Chopper building.
Masks are required. No mask, no entry, no service. No dogs. No eating or drinking in the market.

Race Day App
The Troy Turkey Trot app uses technology that allows participants to run anywhere in the United States and be able to see where they are on the Troy Turkey Trot event course (as well as where they actually are), get live splits and see how their friends and family are doing on the Turkey Trot course. You will receive an email after registering for the event inviting you to the app, to claim your profile and to get prepped for race day!

On behalf of the City of Troy, I am delighted to welcome you to the 73rd edition of the Troy Turkey Trot. Our event, which was founded in 1916 as a remembrance run for veterans, is the nation’s 12th oldest road race and serves as a fantastic way to engage the entire community in celebrating fitness, family and tradition.
This year, although we are disappointed not to host a live edition and showcase our historic downtown and neighborhoods at the start of the holiday season, we are delighted to keep the Trot’s vibrant history and tradition going through the introduction of a cutting-edge virtual Trot experience. The health and well-being of runners is our primary concern and moving to a virtual event for 2020 will ensure the traditions and excitement of the Troy Turkey Trot can continue during this unprecedented public health emergency. We hope to see all of you in downtown Troy in 2021!
We Have Gone Virtual
This year we will virtually feature four events using the latest in remote racing tech with the Troy Turkey Trot App powered by RTRT: the 5k and 10k runs, the one mile Turkey Walk and the Grade School Mile. Join us in keeping this proud annual tradition alive! Our custom app will allow families and friends to run "together" despite the fact that many may not be traveling this holiday season.
This all allows us to maintain the continuity of the event while allowing friends and family to continue their tradition. We will have individual and team results and awards.
